Working with Interior Designers

Should I bring in an Interior Designer?

Many of our clients are confident in making all design related selections. Others prefer to use the services of a qualified designer. We embrace the option that works best for you and your circumstances. While our selections team can provide general advice and assist in procurement, they are not trained in advising on aesthetics.

We believe when you include an interior designer on your team a coordinated plan is developed, which provides for beautiful functional spaces and a less stressed client. Interior designers have a wide array of resources at their disposal. They are trained to think about how rooms will function for your family, furniture scale and placement, blending personal pieces and coordinating colors and textures for a curated look. A well-designed home tells a visual story. If you’ve made the choice to invest in a custom home, hiring an interior designer may be a worthwhile decision at the beginning of your project.

Typically, the interior designer becomes the quarterback and the focal point for your design decisions - our job is to translate the designer's vision into your reality. Interior designers enjoy working with us because we understand their role and we work hard to execute their vision while respecting your budget. We can refer you to qualified interior designers, or feel free to bring aboard a professional you feel comfortable with and we will coordinate with them.

Some builders will direct you to their in-house design services. We believe that choosing an interior designer is a very personal decision.  Interior designers have different strengths and specialties.  That is why Turnstone is committed to working with the independent interior designer of your choosing.
